Liam Payne’s final television appearance has come to light.

The singer, who died in October after falling off a hotel balcony in Argentina, was part of the Netflix series “Building the Band” before the fatal tragedy.

The show follows 50 singers who come together for the chance to form their own band. However, the twist is that the artists have to choose which band they want to join based on the other competitor’s voices.

Only then will the group members come face to face, create a band and, ultimately, perform live onstage as a band.

Pussycat Dolls alum Nicole Scherzinger also served as a judge and mentor while Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean hosted the show.

On Tuesday, the streaming platform dropped the first trailer, which showed Payne giving advice from his own experience in the former boy band One Direction.

“You got a lot of work to do vocally,” he said to one group. “I need to feel that connection between you guys.”

In 2010, One Direction was formed on “The X Factor” and included Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

Malik, 32, left the group in 2015, and the band then went on an indefinite hiatus a year later.

“To have these bands put together is not normal. We were put together that way,” Payne explained of One Direction in the “Building the Band’ trailer.

The first four episodes of “Building the Band” drop via Netflix on July 9, with new episodes airing over the course of the following weeks.

The show will debut roughly nine months after Payne’s passing at age 31. At the time of his death, his fellow One Direction bandmates released a joint statement expressing their pain over losing one of their own.

“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say,” they wrote on their official Instagram account. “But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”

In December, a source told Us Weekly that “[Liam’s death] was a wake-up call for all of them. Prior, they kept in touch sporadically but didn’t have close friendships at all.”

After Payne’s passing, the group pledged to mend their distant friendships.

“They’re all still mourning but are checking in on each other and feel closer than they have in years,” the insider shared at the time. “It brought them back together.”

According to the outlet, the band was “in talks to do one last reunion show” before Payne’s passing, which could still be in the cards for the remaining members.

“The guys would love to do a tribute to Liam. They’re all so devastated right now they can’t even think about that as a legitimate project, but it has been discussed,” the insider alleged. “Liam’s death has caused the guys immense heartbreak.”

In 2019, Payne detailed his time in One Direction while speaking to Jessie Ware on his “Table Manners” podcast.

“There’s no stop button,” Payne explained. “You’ve got no control over your life. That’s why I lost complete control of everything.”

“I needed to stop. It would’ve killed me,” he admitted about the band splitting up.

Payne went on to have a solo career, dropping “LP1” in 2019.

After leaving One Direction, Payne admitted he struggled to break the habits of partying.

“You’re either going to end up a crazy child star who dies at whatever age, or you’re going to live life and actually get on with it,” the late superstar said on the podcast.
